MAN is made up of its members, without you we would not be able to continue with all the work we do. With your support we are able to:
- Increase awareness, popularity and planting of traditional apples, especially those local to the Welsh Marches region
- Continue research into DNA analysis of these varieties, creating a complete and coherent map important for future generations to access
- By establishing and maintaining our museum orchards housing hundreds of these varieties, ensuring that none become extinct
- By re-discovering lost varieties, mainly from attending shows and identifying samples from the public. These are then propagated and properly identified and living examples can be established and managed in our orchards
- By organising events that celebrate and encourage the revival of interest in traditional fruit varieties, and heighten awareness of all aspects of pomology
- Offer advice on these varieties and their suitability for different situations
